Man killed in NW

" A man was killed last night in the Petworth area of Northwest Washington, D.C. police said. The man collapsed near 13th and Quincy streets about 7:30 p.m., said Cmdr. Hilton Burton of the 4th Police District. The nature of the victim's wounds was not immediately clear to investigators, Burton said, but police believe that he was stabbed inside a sport-utility vehicle and that he then wandered on foot through a nearby alley.

Police believe the man collapsed at the intersection a short time later. Investigators followed a trail of blood from inside the vehicle, which was parked in the 1300 block of Quincy Street, to the area where he was found, Burton said. The man, whose name was not released immediately, died after being transported to Washington Hospital Center." WP
