man shot dead in NE

"A 31-year-old Northeast Washington man was shot on East Capitol Street on Wednesday night and died the next day, police said. Thomas Young, of the 1100 block of 16th Street NE, was shot several times about 8 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The shooting took place in the 5300 block of East Capitol Street. Authorities said they were not sure what Young was doing in the neighborhood.

Young was taken to Prince George's Hospital Center, where he died Thursday. Police urged anyone with information to call 202-727-9099."
